Down the block from the Burlington Mall at the main intersection of Fairview and Guelph Line, you’ll find SCADDABUSH Burlington. When you step into the restaurant, you’ll discover an open-concept, industrial-style space designed with warmth and comfort in mind. Their story is simple: they make everything they can from scratch, including their signature fresh Mozzarella, in order to provide the most authentic and satisfying experience from first greeting to final bite.

SCADDABUSH is Italian slang for “a little bit of everything”. And with their social-sized dishes (perfect for sharing) you can certainly try a little bit of everything. Their kitchen-style tables set the stage for classic Italian hospitality and authentic Italian food. Friends and family alike feel at home in their spirited, unpretentious atmosphere.

Italians love to gather around the table for hearty plates of sauce-covered food (and other yummy dishes, too) – and Julia Hanna invites you to gather around hers. Julia’s lifelong love affair with food stems from a strong Italian upbringing that embodied the belief that everyone is welcome at the table. She started her first restaurant, Café Galleria, in Downtown Oakville at the age of 26.

Ritorno is a return to traditional Italian food made from scratch in a sharing-encouraged environment. Fresh, quality ingredients presented in their truest forms, classic, attentive and unobtrusive service from a staff who shares their joy of their job and environment. Enjoy Baked Beef Meat Balls, Nonna’s Eight Layer Lasagna, thin crust pizza, and mains (like Veal Parmigiana with Spaghetti). And don’t miss Gnocchi A La Nonna. For over 35 years, Nonna Jenny, Julia’s mother, has been making gnocchi at her restaurants. At 83 years of age, Nonna continues to take joy in knowing you are enjoying her signature gnocchi! Speaking of Nonnas – fill your heart with by taking in the photos of the “Nonna Wall” – featuring images of beloved Nonnas from dinners.

PIANO PIANO is the Italian restaurant you always wished was just around the corner, and now it is! Located on the corner of Thomas and Church (in what was previously Jonathan’s, an Oakville fave), you’ll see an explosion of pink flowers painted on a building that is PIANO PIANO (you truly can’t miss it).   If there is a common thread that runs through Piano Piano, it’s a deep-seated soulfulness and sensuality that is at once warm, welcoming, and just plain fun.

For lunch, enjoy an app + pizza or pasta + dessert special for one fixed price. Or, if you’re craving an a la carte main, there’s Bone-In Veal Parm, Sea Bass, and Eggplant Fritti.

For dinner, their menu explodes with variety. Snacks, appetizers, pizza, pastas, mains, family-style, sides, and desserts. Oh! And their selection of wine, bubbles, cocktails, and beer. Fun, fabulous – FOOD!

Tucked away in a unique space right on Lakeshore Road in Downtown Oakville is this hidden gem offering fine, innovative cuisine in a relaxed and family friendly atmosphere.  The menu is varied with a simple goal – offering their guests quality dishes with big flavour.

Although the menu draws heavily on the owner’s Italian heritage, this is a place to enjoy fine dining with cuisines from around the world.  The menu changes weekly, with new dishes and seasonal flavours, announced weekly on Instagram.  Their Taste menu will offer selections such as arugula salad, arancini, beef & ricotta meatballs, lamb shank, pappardelle with wild boar ragu, and a special for fish of the day.

For Italians, food, wine and ‘la dolce vita’ are profoundly connected. Buca Di Bacco is inspired by owner Anthony Cappuccitti’s childhood, family meals, and the feeling of love and unity (and good food) that it created. Their menu is composed of simple, earthy ingredients – the foundation of Italian cooking.

It’s not about eating Italian; It’s about eating ‘like’ an Italian.

Founded by Italian-born trio (and relatives), Enzo, Aldo, and Tino, Borgo Antico represents traditional Italian dishes with a twist. From the menu to décor, wine selections, and even Enzo’s accent – the restaurant is reminiscent and authentic to small-village Italy.

Their well-rounded menu offers a variety of sharable appetizers, homemade pastas, and locally sourced seafood and meat. Plus, Chef-crafted nightly-features and a large selection of wines from around the globe, as well as an extensive classic cocktail and beer list.

Since 2016, The Boot Social Pizzeria has been Oakville’s destination for true Neapolitan thin-crust pizza. Handcrafted using authentic Italian flour and fresh ingredients, pizzas are made-to-order from scratch. Choose from a selection of curated recipes or craft your own pie from their long-list of fresh ingredients.

Plus, don’t miss their full-flavour meatballs (made in house), fresh pasta dishes, juicy burgers — and vast selection of world class wines and liquors. A taste of heritage from old world Italy in the heart of Kerr Village.
