Looking to try some delicious Pakistani cuisine? Head over to Karahi Point!

Karahi Point in Oakville aims to be a place where every dish is made with honesty, goodness and kindness. The intention is for everyone to experience the love which every Pakistani mother spreads to their children through food. Because of this, each recipe includes secret ingredients from the restaurant owner’s mother, who would never go a day without making sure his son was well fed.

Karahi Point uses fresh ingredients in all of their dishes. The most potent ingredients to Pakistani cuisine are spices. So, they make their spices from scratch within the kitchen. All of their meat is Halal, and they acquire their dairies from Local Ontario farms. Fresh ingredients accommodate for fresh cuisine, which is the taste that Karahi Point strives to have.

Their menu is flavourful from starters to desserts. The highlight of their menu has to be their signature Karahi with a dozen different flavor choices. As the name implies, Karahi is the main dish of each meal. It’s a mouth watering spicy dish made from a chicken’s long exposure to marination and spices. Apart from Karahi, they have a really big menu consisting of curries, naan, biryani, and kebabs. What’s more, their Chicken Pakora and Samosas, are bite-sized and full of flavour. Desserts like Gulab Jamun and Malai Kulfi are soft milky, and deliciously sweet.

Whether you get nostalgic from Pakistani cuisine, or it’s your first time trying Pakistani food; come on over to Karahi point to experience food infused with kindness and honesty!
Maro’s Bistro is an outstanding Middle Eastern restaurant at the foot of Kerr Street. Originally started as a Shawarma spot, Maro’s Bistro has evolved into an extensive eatery that will surprise you with exquisite flavours from the Middle East.

The dishes are packed with as much colour as there is flavour. The Maro’s Special, consisting of chicken, beef or lamb on a bed of Persian saffron rice drizzled with Tahini is no exception.

‘Here Comes the Bride’, seen below, has fillets of Basa Fish that are marinated in a bountiful amount of spices. The fish is then fried and tossed with onions and peppers, and served on a bed of creamy Baba Ghaboush.

‘Bella and the Beast’ is another classic on the menu, and one of the most popular vegetarian options. That crispy brown goodness below is Maro’s signature fried cauliflower. This cauliflower will melt in your mouth after the first crunch, and is served on top of Moroccan couscous salad. A hefty amount of hummus is served on the side for you to dip the cauliflower to your heart’s content.

Finally, we have the ‘Babel’. Expertly barbecued minced beef and Lebanese garlic potatoes is sauteed with onions and peppers. Drizzle a heavy amount of Greek garlic yogurt on there, and you have yourself an extra savoury dish that will hit all your taste buds.

There’s a lot more to explore on the Maro’s menu, and we haven’t even touched on the atmosphere. Expect it to be busy and loud, with Maro himself serving tables, chatting with customers, and making his way back and forth between their sister restaurant Narenj. It’s safe to say that Maro’s has become an Oakville institution – and if you haven’t tried it yet, what are you waiting for!?
