For over ten years now, Applestone Pizzeria have been putting their love in the form of pizzas. With smooth sauces, fresh herbs, and light crusts, it’s the place to go when you’re in the mood for pizza.

There is an impressively wide selection of pizzas available at Applestone. As such, customers are encouraged to try out as many new flavours as they can in hopes of finding a favourite. Of course, classics such as Margherita, Pepperoni, and Canadian are available. However, you many want to try something different such as the Olympia shown in the picture below. This pizza includes the toppings grilled chicken breasts, mozzarella, roasted red peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, feta, and kalamata olives.

Looking for something a bit lighter for a snack? Applestone’s flatbreads are here to suit that taste. Options include the classic cheesy flatbread and bruschetta flatbreads, but the real star of the show are the sauces. Whether it’s creamy garlic, cheddar chipotle, ranch, or marinara, Applestone’s flatbreads will taste amazing when dipped.

Rust Bistrobar is a lively restaurant in Burlington for brunch, dinner, or a tall glass of beer. They’re team of of chefs have the expertise to create memorable meals that will have you coming back for more.

Looking for a hearty meal to get your day going? Check out Rust’s brunch menu! This menu is split into two sections – ‘Sweet Things’, and ‘Savoury Things’. Savoury items include items such as their Chorizo Eggs Benedict in the image above. Their Benedicts have the option of substituting a crab cake instead of the poached egg.

If you prefer to start your day sweet instead of savoury, why not try these delicious Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes as shown in the image below? These pancakes are so fluffily flavourful that you won’t even need maple syrup on them. Add a refreshing glass of orange juice, and it’s the perfect sweet breakfast.

Did you know that Rust doesn’t use beef in their burgers? The meat patty shown in the picture below is actually made of Bison and Boar! This gives a gamey taste to the classic cheeseburger that really sets it apart. Similarly, their butter isn’t made from milk, either! Instead, Rust’s burgers use a marmalade made from shallots! This brings a whole new dimension of flavour to the table.

Shallots are definitely one of Rust’s strong suits. They bring out the seafood’s flavour so that it gives off a distinctively delicate taste. These shallots are put on top of a slice of braised pork belly. Once eaten, both the shallot and the pork are so soft that it will melt in your mouth into pure delight. This combination brings you a dish that’s out of this world, and we would definitely recommend giving it a shot.

Jake’s Grill & Oyster House has been serving mouthwatering seafood dishes in Burlington since 1985. When it comes to fish and shellfish, they’re experts who know how to make your meal as tasty as possible.

The appetizers are where this delicious seafood food journey starts at Jake’s. Your options include crispy seafood options such as Calamari, Barbecue Oysters, and Crab Cake. Additionally, they also have a deliciously creamy Clam Chowder. Check out their crunchy Coconut Shrimp as shown in the image below.

Catch of the Day

Jake’s has a special ‘Catch of the Day’ option in their seafood menu. This option is whatever fish their local fishermen have caught for the day, so you can expect it to taste extra fresh. Being such experts on seafood, no matter what fish the ‘Catch of the Day’ is, they’re bound to be able to turn it into a mouth-watering dish. The ‘Catch of the Day’ for the image below was flounder, so they made a delicious Pan-Seared Breaded Flounder with Coconut Curry.

Next up is the speciality of Jake’s, since it’s in the name – oysters. Shellfish such as clams, oysters, and scallops are of the highest quality at this restaurant. Of course, you could order the classic Shucked Oysters, or… you could see if the ‘Catch of the Day’ was a shellfish. If it is, then they’re bound to make something originally delicious. An example is the image below, which is a Seared Digby Jumbo Scallop Mac & Cheese.

Of course, this ‘Catch of the Day’ option may not suit you if you’re someone who prefers to pick out their own food instead of being surprised. If that’s so, you could go for Jake’s Steak & Lobster Tail Dinner, which is actually their most popular option. The steak is cooked with seafood sauce for a unique flavour. If you like steak & lobster, this is a highlight of their menu you must try.

Remember, Jake’s Grill & Oyster House isn’t only for seafood, there’s also the ‘Grill’ part of the name! If you don’t feel like eating seafood, they also have steak & ribs. Below is a picture of their full rack barbecue ribs with fries and coleslaw.

If you’re looking for a tall glass of beer after a long, hard day, Beertown is the perfect place to go. Beertown has been a staple restaurant chain in Canada for over a decade, providing independently-brewed craft beer along with an ever changing mouthwatering menu. Burlington’s very own Beertown is located down Appleby Line right before Upper Middle Road.

Beertown has an incredibly wide choice of starter options. Yearlong, you’re free to help yourselves to wings ($18.50), calamari ($19), fish tacos ($14), and more. For us, the highlight of their starters are their poutine. Beertown takes great pride in their poutine, going as far as to label theirs as ‘Proper Poutine’ ($13). This consists of fresh russet fries and cheese curds drowned in beef gravy.

Beertown’s menu is always changing, constantly providing mouthwatering limited time options. An example of this is their fried chicken poutine ($20), which adds crisply seasoned bites of fried chicken and bacon to a poutine with chives & aoili instead of gravy. This was available multiple times in the past as a limited-time option, and is bound to come back in the future.

Beertown’s burgers and sandwiches are incredibly popular, and for good reason. The buns are perfectly toasted, the patties are exploding with flavour, and each topping is added with perfect care. Best of all – they go together perfectly with a glass of beer! We recommend their Brie, Bacon + Black Truffle Burger ($23.50), which comes with Parmesan truffle fries.

Brunch

On weekends, Beertown serves brunch! Head on over from 10 AM to 2 PM to explore their delicious brunch menu. First, you should definitely check out their Brewer’s Breakfast ($16.50). 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, beans, fries, and a pile of toast for you to dip in cheese sauce. This’ll be sure to kick your morning into gear.

Another item you should check out on their Brunch menu is their Beertown Benedict ($17.50). It consists of 2 poached eggs, peameal bacon and a slice of tomato drizzled in house-made chipotle hollandaise on top of a toasted biscuit. Additionally, you could also try their special Santa Barbara Benedict ($16.50) which adds half an avocado, chives, and basil hollandaise.

Beertown has plenty of sweets & treats available in gluten friendly and vegan options. You can find brownies, ice cream, pudding, and fruit crumbles, to dig into after your meal. Our favourite is their Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake ($10), with smooth whipped cream and a crunchy chocolate cookie crust.

If you’re looking for a trendy take on ‘za, look no further than Industria Pizzeria & Bar. For example: “Hawaiian” — at Industria, you’d be looking at their Tropicale, featuring Soppressata + Grilled pineapple + Smoked alfredo + Cheddar + Mozzarella + Cilantro + Honey drizzle. There are nearly a dozen delicious variations of doughy, cheesy goodness. They also have a large selection of delicious pastas from Butternut Gnocci, to spaghetti and fettichini, and mains like Braised Beef Short Ribs, New York Striploin, and Chicken Parm.

Diners can expect a super-fun vibe with high energy atmosphere – great for coworkers to head to after hours,  special occasions, family gatherings or an intimate dinner for two.
