These spiced almonds pair perfectly with a Spiked London Fog!

INGREDIENTS:

4 cups of almonds

¼ cup of maple syrup

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract

2 teaspoons ground cardamom

1 teaspoon ground all spice

½ teaspoon ground cloves

½ teaspoon cracked black pepper

2 tablespoons dark chocolate, cut into small pieces

 

METHOD:

Place all the ingredients other than the chocolate on a non-stick baking tray and mix them together thoroughly.  Bake in the oven at 350 F for 30 to 35 minutes. Give it all a good stir about half way through.

Remove from the oven and allow them to cool, then mix in the dark chocolate chunks before serving.

Ideal as a tasty snack or as a treat with your afternoon London Fog.
